Centre for Personnel Talent Management (CEPTAM) is a premier organization of DRDO,which is entrusted with the recruitment of Technical, Administrative & Allied category of non-Gazetted personnel, Assessment of DRTC Officers & Staff, and facilitates Training for development of this cadre as per Training Policy of DRDO. Online applications are now invited for the direct recruitment to various posts under Defence Research & Development Organisation Technical Cadre (DRTC).
About DRDO exam
DRDO CEPTAM recruitment is conducted nationwide over two phases: tier 1 and tier 2.There is no negative marking in this objective type exam. Note the following things:
| Tier 1 | This is purely computer-based for both the posts of Senior Technical Assistant (STA-B) as well as Technician-A(Tech-A) |
| Tier 2 | For the post of Senior Technical Assistant(STA-B),tier-2 is also computer-based. Whereas for Technician-A(Tech-A), tier-2 is a Trade/Skill test |

| Senior Technical Assistant-B(STA-B): Group ‘B’, Non-Gazetted, Non-Ministerial | Basic salary starts from Rs 35,400/- to Rs.1,12,400/-. In addition, there are other benefits/allowances as per extant Govt. of India rules. Net in-hand salary: Rs 48,400-56,500 |
| Technician-A (TECH A) : Group ‘C’, Non-gazetted, Non-Ministerial | Basic salary ranges from Rs 19,900/- to 63,200/- along with other benefits/allowances as per extant Govt. of India rules.Net in-hand salary: Rs 26,200-31,500/- |

Eligibility Criteria
The main specifications that determine the eligibility are:

Candidate must be a citizen of India as per extant Govt. of India Rules |
| Essential Qualification Requirement | For Senior Technical Assistant-B (STA-B)– Bachelor’s in Science OR Diploma in engineering and technology from Computer Science from a recognized University(approved by AICTE). |
| For Technician-A (Tech-A)– (1) High school certificate OR equivalent from a recognized school/college. (2) ITI certificate in required trade OR National Trade Certificate/ National Apprenticeship Certificate in the required trade. | |
| NOTE | Candidates possessing higher qualifications such as MSc,B.Tech,BE,Ph.D, etc cannot apply for the post of STA-B.Also, candidates possessing qualifications higher than ITI cannot apply for Tech-A post. |
| Medical Fitness |
Candidates should be physically and mentally fit.Candidates with any physical deformity or terminal illness cannot apply |
| No Objection Certificate(ONC) | Candidates working in any public /private sector must collect and submit a No Objection Certificate from the concerned authorities |

No. The maximum qualification to apply for STA-B is graduation. Any candidate possessing qualifications higher than that mentioned in the prospectus cannot apply for the DRDO exam.
